摘要

This study conducts a bibliometric analysis to examine two decades (2004–2024) of scholarly research on information privacy practices among computer and IT professionals. Data were systematically retrieved from the Web of Science (WoS) database using targeted keywords such as “Information Privacy Practices” and “Computer or IT Professionals.“ A total of 237 journal articles were selected based on three inclusion criteria: relevance to the topic, publication as journal articles, and publication within the specified period. VOSviewer software was employed to analyze and visualize trends, key authors, and influential journals through several bibliometric techniques, including co-authorship, co-occurrence, citation, and co-citation analyses. The findings reveal four dominant thematic clusters within the field: IT Management, AI in Healthcare IT Systems, User Perceptions and Social Engagement in IT, and IT Ethics. This study further proposes a conceptual framework to guide future research on information privacy practices, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16, which emphasizes peace, justice, and strong institutions. Such practices are crucial in fostering trust, transparency, and security within digital environments. The results offer valuable insights for both researchers and practitioners, highlighting prevailing trends and emerging areas for exploration. This bibliometric study contributes to a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of information privacy practices and provides a structured foundation for advancing academic inquiry in this field.
