Introduction to Commonly Used Databases
摘要
Drug design, also known as rational drug design, is a creative process of finding new drugs based on knowledge of biological targets. Specifically, drug molecule design is based on the research results of life sciences such as biochemistry, enzymology, molecular biology, and genetics. It designs reasonable drug molecules by targeting the drug action targets revealed in these basic studies and referring to the chemical structure characteristics of their endogenous ligands or natural substrates. Rational drug design mainly has two types: Ligand-based drug design (LBDD) and structure-based drug design (SBDD).
