Frequency Control Strategy for DFIG—Supercapacitors System Based on Fuzzy Adaptive Control
摘要
With the increasing penetration of wind power year by year, the number of traditional generating units with inertia response and damping characteristics has been decreasing, significantly weakening the power grid’s frequency support capability. Supercapacitors, known for their fast response speed and high regulation accuracy, are one of the effective solutions to enhance the frequency regulation performance of wind turbines. This paper fully integrates the real-time state information of energy storage systems and power system frequency variations, proposing a fuzzy adaptive control strategy for energy storage that responds to grid frequency changes. The strategy adjusts the power reference value of the supercapacitor by modifying the additional power output through a fuzzy controller. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed strategy not only adaptively controls the energy storage power to effectively suppress frequency fluctuations but also enables the frequency to recover swiftly to the normal range, ensuring secure and stable operation.
