Potential Onalysis of Geothermal Resources and Prediction of Favorable Areas: A Aase Study of Dongming Geothermal Field

With the attention to the environmental problems of traditional fossil energy and the continuous growth of energy demand, geothermal resources have become an important research and development direction in the energy field with its unique advantages. The study takes Dongming geothermal field as an example, based on the unique structure, geothermal field and other geological elements of the geothermal field, the potential of geothermal resources in the study area is analyzed and the favorable areas for development are predicted. Through geological survey to clarify the formation distribution, geothermal field characteristics and so on to explore the cause and type of heat storage. Heat storage method, mining intensity method and statistical analysis method were used to evaluate the potential of geothermal resources and predict the distribution of favorable areas. The research area has an ideal heat source environment, the faults in this area obviously control the pattern of topographic structure, Neogene thermal reservoir gradually thickens from east to southwest; The effect of fracture and depth on vertical temperature field is significant. The total heat stored by the geothermal field in Dongming Depression is 18.117 × 1019J; Geothermal fields have a life span of 100 years, The amount of recoverable hot water resources is 10.76 × 107m3/a; It is predicted that the recoverable resources of geothermal fluid in Guantao Formation thermal reservoir in Dongming District is 4.17 × 104m3/d. The middle and deep development potential near the urban area of Dongming County is larger, and the water rich area is better, which can be given priority to development and utilization, followed by the resource potential near Shawo Township. The research results provide an important basis for the scientific and efficient development and utilization of geothermal resources in Dongming geothermal field through multi-technology integration analysis to evaluate the exploitation potential of geothermal resources and accurately predict favorable areas.
