Key Technologies for Improving Operation Efficiency of Low Permeability Gas Storage

Low permeability lithologic gas reservoir has the characteristics of “Three low and one high”. Low injection-production capacity of gas well, low peak-shaving capacity of gas reservoir, low ratio of working gas volume and high cost of construction investment. Because the key parameters of “Three low and one high” are closely related to the operation pressure of gas storage, the optimization of the operation pressure of gas storage is necessary to improve the operation efficiency. In this paper, the dynamic breakthrough pressure of surrounding rock is evaluated, the stability of Rock in-situ stress is analyzed, and the feasibility of increasing the upper limit pressure is analyzed The measures such as reservoir reconstruction, tubing size optimization and surface pressurization are studied to improve gas well productivity and lower limit pressure, so as to enlarge the operating pressure range, increase the working gas volume and improve the operating efficiency of low permeability gas reservoirs.
