Research Progress on Corrosion Protection of CCUS in Domestic Oil and Gas Fields

CCUS technology is an important means for oil fields to achieve carbon emission reduction and economic benefit enhancement, and it is a key measure and backup technology for achieving carbon neutrality. This paper focuses on the corrosion protection challenges in this field, aiming to explore a series of effective and efficient anti-corrosion technologies to ensure the safe and stable production of CCUS in oil fields. From aspects such as corrosion mechanism analysis, corrosion inhibitor research and development, rational application of corrosion-resistant materials, corrosion monitoring, innovation of detection technologies, and practical engineering demonstration and verification, this paper summarizes the new research and application progress of corrosion protection for CCUS in oil fields. Through research, various complex factors affecting the corrosion of CCUS in oil fields have been identified. The research progress of models capable of accurately predicting corrosion trends and degrees has been understood. Meanwhile, the implementation effects of highly effective corrosion inhibitors, reliable coating protection, high-quality corrosion-resistant materials suitable for different working conditions, and high-precision corrosion monitoring and detection technologies have been analyzed. In practical engineering applications, these technologies can work synergistically to effectively ensure the stable operation of CCUS facilities in oil fields, reducing the corrosion risk. This has improved the safe production level of oil fields, promoted the progress of corrosion protection technologies, and provided theoretical support and practical experience for the technological upgrading and industrial development of the industry.
