Application of Corrosion Protection Technology in the Crude Oil Gathering and Transportation Process of Y Oilfield Carbon Dioxide Flooding Block

With the green and low-carbon transformation of oil fields, CCUS-EOR technology has gradually become the direction of technological research and application. Y oilfield has gradually explored the surface technology of carbon dioxide flooding since 2007. In the carbon dioxide driven production fluid, high concentrations of carbon dioxide combine with water, causing certain corrosion to carbon steel pipelines, equipment, etc. in the gathering and transportation system, reducing the service life of pipelines and equipment. In order to solve the corrosion problem of the gathering and transportation system and reduce construction investment, through experiments and on-site monitoring analysis, the corrosion characteristics of each node in the carbon dioxide driven gathering and transportation system were clarified, and applicable anti-corrosion technologies such as materials, coatings, and corrosion inhibitors were proposed. It has been applied in Block A of Y Oilfield since 2014, with good anti-corrosion effect and significantly reduced construction investment, and has certain promotion and application value.
