The Use of AIEd Technologies in MBA Education
摘要
Businesses require competencies and knowledge of new technologies to manage the human–machine work environment. Education 5.0 embraces the concept of transformative learning, whereby artificial intelligence (AI) in education (AIEd) technologies and application-based learning are incorporated into the learning environment, providing students with an opportunity to engage with real-life scenarios and case-based learning. AIEd creates awareness of new technological solutions and creative problem-solving. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is seen as the pinnacle of business education and systematically prepares students for specific roles in industry. The strong market orientation of the MBA requires the learning outcomes of the programme to be aligned with the managerial competencies required in industry. MBA students must understand how these technologies can be strategically leveraged to enable business growth. Business schools must therefore incorporate AIEd technologies into their pedagogical approach, curriculum and research activities in a manner that prepares students for an AI-enabled workplace. A research gap was identified as current literature relating to AI technologies, and Industry 5.0 (I5.0) skillsets focuses on immersive learning experiences. What is lacking is an overarching framework, which shows what factors, relevant specifically to business schools, should be considered to promote the integration of AI technologies and I5.0 skillsets in the MBA programme. An extensive literature review was conducted to identify factors towards MBA5.0. The study developed an AI-Enhanced Learning Framework using Claude.ai to identify AI-enabled technologies and AI-assisted instructional approaches for the different MBA modules, recommending specific AI tools for curriculum design, problem-solving, case study generation and analysis, innovation, collaborative learning and evaluations. The study developed a proposed framework to incorporate AI technologies and I5.0 skillsets into a business school MBA programme.
