A Novel Frequency-Time Domain Anti-Interference Acquisition Algorithm

The operational integrity of single-antenna global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers is highly vulnerable to various interference sources. Conventional interference mitigation techniques suppress jamming signals at the cost of distorting the useful GNSS signal, thereby degrading acquisition accuracy and overall system reliability. This paper proposes a novel hybrid interference suppression approach, combining frequency-domain and time-domain signal processing to robustly enhance acquisition performance. Our approach first employs a computationally efficient frequency-domain filter at the pre-correlation stage to mitigate dominant spectral interference. Subsequently, a coefficient-weighted post-correlation filtering stage refines the time-domain output, attenuating low jamming-to-signal ratio (JSR) interference without distorting the useful signal, thereby ensuring accurate and reliable acquisition. The resulting acquisition probabilities confirm that our technique offers a significant performance advantage over state-of-the-art suppression methods. The proposed method achieves an interference suppression performance of up to 85 dB in the single-tone interference scenario, which represents an improvement of approximately 25 dB over post-correlation anti-jamming approaches and about 5 dB over pre-correlation anti-jamming approaches.
