TS-DetBA: Deterministic Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation for Industrial Passive Optical Networks

摘要

With the widespread deployment of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), numerous time-sensitive industrial data services are emerged, imposing increasingly stringent requirements for network determinacy. Traditional fixed bandwidth allocation (FBA) and dynamic bandwidth allocation (DBA) algorithms lack the precise controlling capacity towards complex traffic arrival patterns, making it difficult to ensure deterministic transmission. To address this challenge, we propose a high-efficiency deterministic bandwidth allocation (TS-DetBA) scheme for industrial passive optical networks (PON). Through variable simplification, constraint reduction, and a two-level scheduling mechanism, the proposed TS-DetBA can significantly enhance the scheduling efficiency and improve scheduling success rates for large-scale flows. Simulation results show that the proposed TS-DetBA achieves 60%–90% lower delay than those of classical DBA algorithms while maintaining high scheduling success rates, where the maximum delay jitter can be controlled within 1us.
