Design and Performance Verification of a Damping Structure for a Vector Hydrophone with Bending Mode

摘要

Addressing the severe transient effects near the resonance of low-frequency high-sensitivity bending mode vector hydrophones, a rubber damping structure was designed. By establishing a finite element model of the bending mode vector hydrophone, the impact of the damping structure on the vibration mode and receiving performance of the vector hydrophone was analyzed. A vector hydrophone with the damping structure was fabricated, and its receiving performance was tested. The results showed that the damping structure designed in this paper can effectively reduce the transient effects near the resonance of the bending mode vector hydrophone. Furthermore, by changing the structural dimensions, the damping coefficient can be adjusted, achieving the goal of regulating the receiving performance of the vector hydrophone.
