Building Electrification Technologies

Cooking, as an essential part of daily life, has a profound influence on the environment and climate change through its energy use. According to data from the International Energy Agency (IEA), carbon emissions from cooking represent about 3% of global greenhouse gas emissions and 56% of carbon emissions associated with buildings. Traditional cooking appliances rely on fossil fuels, which release large amounts of greenhouse gases during combustion. In contrast, electric cooking appliances can reduce these greenhouse gas emissions significantly. As revealed by research data from Beijing, pipeline gas still makes up 74% of cooking energy in households, while electric cooking appliances account for only 13%. Therefore, to reduce carbon emissions, it is imperative to accelerate the electrification of cooking across the board.
