As a crucial component of urban energy consumption, urban residential buildings cover multiple facets of energy consumption, including heating, cooling, cooking, domestic hot water, and lighting. With the advancement of urbanization and the improvement of residents’ living standards, the total energy consumption of urban residential buildings continues to increase, while the energy mix is also constantly evolving. Guided by the dual carbon goals, optimizing the energy use structure in buildings and promoting low-carbon transition in the building sector have become the industry consensus, with increased electrification standing as one of the core paths.
