KASP and Islamic Studies in US Universities
摘要
Situated within the evolving priorities of Saudi Arabia's educational and foreign policy agendas under Vision 2030, this chapter examines how geopolitical developments, and shifts in American domestic politics may shape the future trajectory and international perception of the King Abdullah Scholarship Program (KASP). Drawing on enrolment trends, institutional responses, and the scholarly contributions of KASP graduates, the analysis demonstrates that the program's impact extends far beyond skills training and workforce development. KASP has emerged as a significant force in promoting intercultural competence, supporting Muslim students' identity formation, and enriching Islamic Studies Scholarship within American academia. Its contributions to academic research, religious literacy, and cross-cultural dialogue highlight its enduring role as a long-term diplomatic bridge connecting Saudi Arabia to the global academic community.
