Self-Propelled Particles
摘要
In this chapter, we first recapitulate the description of passive Brownian motion. We then introduce the main models studied in this thesis, namely active Brownian particle (ABP) and chiral active Brownian particle (cABP), and review their single-particle dynamics as well as their typical collective behaviors. We also briefly discuss Vicsek-type particle models, which are prototypical self-propelled particle systems and continue to play an important role in a wide range of contexts.
