Measurement Challenges and Artificial Intelligence

摘要

The importance of measuring instruments based on artificial intelligence in the life of society is growing every year. The article provides information about new Russian standards, which take into account not only new opportunities in various fields related to such instruments, but also associated risks. On the basis of the tendencies of artificial intelligence development, the set of terms and their definitions characterising the properties of new types of measuring instruments is proposed. The methods of metrological support of such devices are analysed. The efficiency of the metrological self-check application for risk reduction is demonstrated. In a number of situations, it is necessary to provide human observation of the measurement process in order to mitigate the risk to the required minimum.
