Closing the Gap: Passion Meets Opportunity
摘要
This chapter concludes the book by addressing the structural gap between artistic passion and viable opportunities in the contemporary music world. Traditional career pathways have contracted, leaving musicians and professionals to navigate precarious conditions marked by oversupply, low pay, and systemic inequalities. Music entrepreneurship emerges as a strategic response to sustain music under uncertainty. The chapter argues that entrepreneurship in music operates within a hybrid space where artistic integrity, social responsibility, and economic viability intersect. These dimensions rarely align seamlessly; they generate tensions that shape decisions about repertoire, pricing, accessibility, and artistic identity.
