Energy Savings Through Network Reconfiguration
摘要
The proposed work seeks to improve the energy efficiency of contemporary power distribution systems by modifying the status of sectionalizing or tie switches and adjusting the network configuration. In this study, network reconfiguration was used to optimize the power flow, reduce energy losses and enhance overall system reliability. This study examines the potential of network reconfiguration to achieve substantial energy savings, emphasizing its capacity to decrease transmission losses, improve load distribution and reduce operational costs. The research is conducted on the standard IEEE 33-bus system, showcasing the advantages of network reconfiguration and presenting it as an efficient method for achieving sustainable energy solutions.
