Capacitive Touch Sensor with Mesh Network: A Design Perspective

In this work, we propose a method for a capacitive touch-sensing switch for electronic circuits. Arduino UNO microcontroller board is used for the touch sensing mechanism. An esp32 module is used for wireless communication between different electronic devices. The sensor discussed in the proposed work is a self-capacitance sensor, which uses a single electrode to measure the apparent capacitance between the electrode and the ground of the touch sensor circuit. The touch sensor circuit is fabricated by keeping in mind that the noises due to crosstalk become minimum during application. We present here the design concept and the results obtained by testing the system during application.
