An Enhancement Alternative to the Principled Approach to AI Ethics
摘要
The principled approach stands as a prevailing solution in the domain of artificial intelligence ethics. However, it faces substantial practical challenges, creating a disparity between theory and real-world implementation. As a result, auxiliary approaches have surfaced to facilitate ethical principles realization and fortify artificial intelligence governance, concentrating on technology, developers, and regulatory entities. Examples encompass tools for algorithmic explainability and virtue ethics frameworks customized for developers. Nevertheless, a significant gap persists in tailored solutions for crucial stakeholders in artificial intelligence ethics—the users. In response, this paper advocates for an ethical enhancement approach for users, thereby advancing artificial intelligence governance.
