Environmental Impact and Sustainability of Citrus Biofuel
摘要
Fossil fuels, and especially oil, now control the world’s transportation energy and are commonly recognized as a serious problem for mankind. The extensive utilization of fossil fuel-derived products has adverse impacts, including greenhouse gases (GHGs) contributing to global warming, environmental damage, and health risks (Rühl 2008). The use of fossil fuels globally also promotes economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions. Switching to renewable energy forms is the key to solving these problems (Raihan 2023). For this reason, the search for renewable sources of energy has been spurred on by growing awareness in society of environmental problems (Chovancová and Vavrek 2022). Experts agree that the transport sector must immediately utilize biofuels derived from biomass. However, problem areas such as spending on infrastructure, technological advancement, and policy reforms must be tackled.
