With the continuous expansion of the population base and the increasing pedestrian flow in public places, the safety issues of escalators need to be improved. This design is an escalator track safety locking system based on the IAP15 microcomputer, which is equipped with ultrasonic distance measurement, PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), L298N motor drive, infrared sensors, and temperature-humidity sensors. When the system starts operating, the infrared sensor detects approaching crowds and issues a warning. Meanwhile, the ultrasonic distance measurement module begins measuring the distance to the crowds. When crowds are dense and keep approaching, the system controls the buzzer to sound an alarm, warning the crowds not to get close to the edge of the escalator. When the distance falls within the dangerous range, the ultrasonic distance measurement module responds quickly and controls the escalator to lock, preventing safety accidents from occurring.
