Blockchain-Empowered Intelligent Architecture for Cyber Authentication in Social Networks
摘要
Nowadays, social media has over 4.9 billion users worldwide as of 2023, making them exceptional targets for network threats, including DDoS attacks, MITM attacks, unauthorized access, and privacy violations. Traditional security approaches lack the adaptability needed to defend smart social networks, leading to insecure ideas, vulnerabilities, data breaches, and service troubles. To address these issues, we proposed an innovative architecture that integrates Machine Learning and Blockchain technologies to enhance authentication and threat detection. Using the CICDDoS2019 dataset, a Random Forest Classifier detects DDoS attacks with 99% accuracy. Non-malicious data are hashed using SHA-256 and authenticated via cost-efficient smart contracts on the Polygon Amoy Layer-2 blockchain, with verified records stored securely in IPFS. This novel decentralized approach ensures data integrity, privacy protection, and the elimination of central vulnerabilities, offering a scalable, high-performance security framework for next-generation social networks.
