Human Factors of Quantum Modeling and Computing

摘要

Quantum mechanics and computing has potential for advancing human factors and ergonomics (HFE) research by providing novel theories and methods for modeling cognition and human-centered systems. This paper presents a comprehensive review of quantum modeling and computing within HFE on both theory and application. This review first discuss quantum cognition, where the uncertainty principle and quantum probability theory refines models of human decision-making under uncertainty. Building on these foundations, the review discusses human–computer interaction (HCI) on quantum systems, demonstrating current challenges in usability. The concept of quantum digital twins (QDTs) is introduced as an extension of digital twin technology, integrating human centric data for real-time healthcare. Finally, the paper surveys the role of quantum artificial intelligence (QAI) in augmenting human work and analyzing human-centric data with potential for computational acceleration and improved predictive performance. Together, these advances illustrate a bidirectional pathway, HCI drive innovations in quantum technologies while integrating quantum frameworks into reshapes cognitive models along with expanding human-centered AI, and human digital twin. This review establishes a conceptual baseline for future interdisciplinary research of quantum science and HFE. 150–250 words.
