Digital Twins in the Metaverse: User Interface, Security, and Privacy Issues
摘要
The application of digital twins within the metaverse represents a significant milestone toward integration of the virtual and real world. As an example, digital twins are sophisticated and highly functional virtual models of actual systems that enable real-time observation, simulation, and decision-making. Their integration, however, brings important problems such as user interface (UI) design, security, and privacy. This chapter tries to address these problems by focusing on the strategies of digital interaction design that goes far beyond the standard usability frameworks and strives for the effortless engagement with digital twins. The chapter also touches on security issues, highlighting the growing need for robust defenses against attacks, -usurped-sensitive-bow-data, and unauthorized access. Privacy issues are addressed in terms of data ownership, identity protection, and ethical custodianship in the metaverse. By doing so, the chapter aims to advance the discourse on digital twin systems by proposing comprehensive strategies that balance security, privacy, and user accessibility in the context of the metaverse.
