Now all professions and works reliant on tool-based skills, including most programmers’ work, are being displaced by AI technologies. Cultivating students’ computational and mathematical thinking by solving programming contest problems can be as a breakthrough point for the reform of computer education in the AI era. It is implemented by constructions of teaching materials, curricula and a cross-institutional and cross-regional programming training system. And innovations and effects are introduced.
