Direct Numerical Calculation of Aerodynamic Noise of Bionic Airfoil Based on LBM-LES Method

The Direct numerical calculation method is very important for aerodynamics noise generation mechanism research and noise prediction. Based on the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) method in the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) framework, the aerodynamic noise of SD-7003 bionic airfoil at low Mach number is calculated directly. The Reynolds number is selected as 8.0 × 105. LBM method adopts multi-relaxation time approximation, lattice discrete velocity model is D2Q9 model, sublattice model of LES method is dynamic Smagorinsky model. The results show that the LBM-LES method can accurately predict the sound pressure in the far field of aerofoil aerodynamic noise at low Mach number and low Reynolds number, and the error is less than 10% compared with the experimental results.
