This research explores the key characteristics and requirements for living environments in space by analysing a selection of past, ongoing, and conceptual space habitats, including Skylab, the International Space Station (ISS), and conceptual designs for Martian and Lunar habitats. The research aims to establish a set of environmental, functional, and spatial criteria essential for designing space habitats. By evaluating various types of space habitation, the commonalities in the design will be assessed, leading to the identification of key factors that space habitats should align with to ensure functionality, sustainability, and habitability. The findings will contribute to the development of an interdisciplinary guideline for future space habitat design.

摘要
