Systematic Uncertainties

摘要

The systematic uncertainties are divided into several categories: the detector response, the theoretical limitation, and the analysis methods. For each signal and background, the uncertainties are considered. The uncertainties on the electron antineutrino mostly arise from the poor understanding of neutron capture in SK. The poor understanding of the neutrino interaction is the dominant uncertainty on the atmospheric neutrino contamination, while some measurements are used to constrain the uncertainty. For the spallation isotopes, the measured yields are referred to in contamination estimation. However, the measurement has a large error and leads to large uncertainty. This chapter describes these uncertainties.
