Super-Kamiokande Detector

The Super-Kamiokande detector is one of the largest water Cherenkov detectors. It is located in Kamioka-mine in Japan and has been in operation since 1996. The detector size amounts to 50 kt in total and 22.5 kt in total fiducial volume. In 2020, we dissolved the gadolinium in the water tank to enhance the neutron tagging performance. This chapter describes the details of the detector system.
