The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into speech therapy is transforming clinical practice by enhancing diagnostic precision, therapy customization, and workflow efficiency. This study aligns with Vision 2030’s commitment to advancing Saudi healthcare through technology. Utilizing a mixed-methods design, this research combines a structured survey of 201 licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with focus group interviews to explore the role of AI tools, specifically ChatGPT, in key aspects of clinical practice. These include diagnostic applications, therapy personalization, and administrative support. Findings reveal that AI enhances treatment efficiency by automating repetitive tasks, generating innovative therapy resources, and improving accessibility in regions with limited access to speech therapy. However, significant challenges remain, including insufficient training, access limitations, and the need for customized AI solutions tailored to speech therapy contexts. Experts emphasize the critical need for specialized AI training for SLPs, ensuring they can effectively integrate AI-driven interventions into clinical practice. Beyond technical improvements, this study highlights the cultural and accessibility considerations necessary for effective AI implementation in speech therapy. The findings provide actionable insights for practitioners, educators, and policymakers, offering a strategic framework for integrating AI responsibly into clinical workflows while maintaining patient-centered care.

摘要
