This chapter introduces a case study of China’s participation in global education governance. With the continuous deepening of China’s education opening to the outside world, China’s role in global education governance is becoming increasingly important. China actively participates in global education governance, and many practical cases are of great value, contributing Chinese solutions and Chinese wisdom to the world, and demonstrating China’s right to speak in global education. China has made remarkable achievements in building an international education organization platform, promoting the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” education action, enhancing international educational people-to-people exchanges and cooperation, deepening international educational assistance, and promoting educational innovation with multiple entities, demonstrating China’s responsibility in building an educational power, building a fair and just global educational order, and building a community with a shared future for mankind. Challenges such as changes in the international landscape, rising nationalism, and insufficient institutional guarantees have put forward new requirements for China’s participation in global education governance. China should continue to strengthen forward-looking strategic planning, enhance the capacity and mechanism building of participation in global education governance, and advocate the reform of the global education governance system.

This chapter introduces a case study of China’s participation in global education governance. With the continuous deepening of China’s education opening to the outside world, China’s role in global education governance is becoming increasingly important. China actively participates in global education governance, and many practical cases are of great value, contributing Chinese solutions and Chinese wisdom to the world, and demonstrating China’s right to speak in global education.
