This chapter focuses on China’s participation in global education in the post-COVID-19 era. In the post-COVID-19 era, profound changes have taken place in the international education landscape. China’s participation in global education governance has undergone a transformation from a “spectator” to a “participant” and then to a “leader”, and played an important role in different stages, such as participating in local educational exchanges in the early stage, promoting open and diversified education after opening, and actively exploring innovative ways of participation after the turn of the century. But at the same time, China’s participation in education governance also faces many challenges. In the future, China should give play to its unique advantages and optimize governance paths to better participate in global education governance, show its responsibility as a major country, and promote global education development.
