This article discusses the experiences obtained with teaching electronic commerce at the School of Informatics, within the context of the UNAPROPYMES project, of the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica in the juncture of the COVID-19 pandemics. A qualitative approach was used, with the purpose of describing the development of a prototype for an ecommerce site for the Asociación de Artesanas La Cabuya Cuenta del Cantón de El Guarco, using a free and open-source e-commerce platform which facilitated the design and implementation for this site and promoted collaborative learning.
