Force Transmission

  • Sadao Kawamura

摘要

Many Aikido techniques involve applying force to an opponent’s torso to throw them off balance. For example, there are techniques for throwing an opponent or pinning them between the floor and ourselves. Force can be transmitted to the opponent’s torso in two ways: by directly contacting it with our arms or torso, or by applying force through the opponent’s arms. This chapter examines how to transmit force to the opponent’s torso.
