Azimuth Phase Code for Ambiguity Suppression
摘要
The azimuth phase coding (APC) technique has been widely recognized in conventional synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems, not only for its extremely low implementation complexity but also for being highly effective in suppressing both point and distributed ambiguities. In recent years, APC has also been investigated as an expansion to multichannel SAR systems. However, when multichannel SAR adopts digital beamforming (DBF) on receive, the desirable properties of APC can no longer be fully acquired, and only a minor improvement in range-ambiguity suppression can be achieved.
