Early Diagnosis and Treatment of Psoriasis

Psoriasis is an acute inflammatory disease affecting mostly skin and joints. This disease has an impact on mental, emotional, and social capability of an individual also affecting patient physically. Psoriasis is mostly associated with the occurrence of two or more diseases along with main disease. Comorbidities such as cardiovascular disease and malignancy are mainly associated with psoriasis. Skin biopsy and primary clinical investigations are used to diagnose this disorder. Disease occurrence can range from acute to chronic depending on the severity of symptoms. Treatment can be initiated depending on the nature and on the basis of severity of disease; namely, for acute psoriasis, the first choice of treatment comprises topical therapies including vitamin D3 analogs, corticosteroids, and combination products. The treatment options are mainly monitored and prescribed by Primary Care Physician and evaluated by a dermatologist, in order to relive symptoms and disease elimination.
