Psoriasis is an immune-mediated genetic condition affecting the skin or joints. It is a chronic disorder with deep genetics roots, and it does not only affect the skin and joints but also overall health in contrast to other temporary rashes or small dermatological issues. Psoriasis introduces health challenges because of its recurring nature, apparent symptoms, and associations with other serious health problems. Management of psoriasis usually requires a multidisciplinary plan, with rheumatology, dermatology, and even mental healthcare to prevent its wide-ranging effects; it affects millions of people worldwide. Psoriasis does not discriminate by age, but in early adulthood it usually emerges in one of its most typical form plaque psoriasis (or psoriasis vulgaris), appears as red, raised patches covered with silvery scales, and mainly locates on the elbows, knees scalp, and lower back; however, the impact goes further than the skin. Many patients encounter associated conditions like psoriatic arthritis, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and depression, making early and comprehensive treatment essential.
