This chapter examines the evolving role of Public–Private Partnerships (P3s) in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular focus on the integration of social enterprises (SEs) as key partners. SEs can leverage the P3 structure to achieve their goals by combining government resources, private sector efficiency, and social impact objectives. These partnerships provide a structured way to address societal challenges while ensuring sustainability and scalability, thus providing the necessary policy and ecosystem support for SEs to deliver on their social impact mission. Traditional P3s have typically focused on infrastructure development by leveraging the resources and efficiencies of both public and private sectors. Incorporating SEs in P3s has facilitated expanding the development paradigm beyond this traditional approach. This is essential for catalyzing community engagement, trust, and long-term impact for projects directed toward social development. Using data from the P3 Impact Award, five key success factors are identified: policy alignment, clarity of roles and responsibilities, technology adaptation, analytics-based pulse check, and well-defined transition planning. These elements are shown to significantly enhance impact, scalability, and sustainability. The chapter ultimately presents a compelling case for multi-sector collaboration that moves beyond infrastructure to address pressing social issues through inclusive and accountable partnerships.
