Extracellular Vesicles
摘要
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are tiny membrane structures that play a crucial role in intercellular communication, with exosomes and microvesicles being representative examples. Glycans exist on the surface of these vesicles and play an important role in binding with specific receptors and cell recognition. The structure and composition of glycans depend on the origin cells of EVs and their state and can reflect different functions and pathological conditions [1]. Also, glycans affect the stability and half-life of EVs in the body, playing a crucial role in the delivery and uptake of EVs to target cells. As a result, EVs are attracting attention in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
