摘要

Video communication is part of all our activities nowadays like video call on WhatsApp or Skype, posting stories on Facebook or Instagram, watching any web series or movie on OTT (over-the-top) platform, video conferencing, webinar, medical telepresence, video surveillance, etc. The video content transmitted in all these applications must be secure and protected from eavesdropping. To secure the video data the work has designed a method to encrypt videos using Sine-Tangent-Sine (STS) chaotic map and Cascaded Coupled Logistic-Sine–Cosine (CCLSC) map that were presented in our earlier work. The encryption mechanism is applied on the video frames. The scheme encrypts the video in three steps. In the first step, it generates two chaotic sequences from STS and CCLSC map. In second phase, SHA-256 is applied on chaotic sequence generated by STS map to obtain hash digest that is further used to permutate frame pixels. In the last, the sequence generated by CCLSC map is used in pixel diffusion to generate the cipher video frame. The scheme has been tested on many parameters to show its robustness against various attacks. For example, the scheme obtains −0.00089 as correlation coefficient, 7.9999 as information entropy, 50.0212 and 99.8975 as value of UACI and NPCR, respectively.
