Internal winding ground fault will have a significant impact on the normal operation of Ultra-high voltage (UHV) reactor, it is not easy to accurately locate it with traditional methods. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a novel ground fault location method based on phase consistency. An equivalent distributed parameter circuit model of the reactor is developed to systematically validate the feasibility of the phase-consistency approach. Furthermore, quantitative analysis is conducted to investigate the influence of key factors, including excitation voltage amplitude, conductor length, and ground fault location.
