Research on the Recoil Force Test Method of Electromagnetic Railgun launching Device

The recoil force generated during electromagnetic launch directly affects the launch stability and shooting accuracy. In view if the current lack of effective testing methods to accurately test the recoil side, this paper proposes a recoil force testing principle based on force transmission and force interaction-using force sensing for testing. According to the testing principle, a set of recoil force testing system for electromagnetic track launch devices is constructed. The test system restricts the recoil movement of the electromagnetic track launch cart by applying preload to the force sensor and the electromagnetic track launch devices, and quantitatively tests the recoil of the electromagnetic track launch device using the sensor. The results show that the recoil of the electromagnetic track launch devices is much smaller than the armature thrust, the test results of the force sensor test are in good agreement with the theoretical calculation results, and this test method can effectively guide the structural design of low recoil force electromagnetic track launchers and anti- recoil device.
