Secure and Transparent Exam Proctoring: Leveraging Blockchain for Enhanced Integrity and Trust

Online examinations have revolutionized the education industry, offering flexibility and accessibility. However, ensuring security, fairness, and integrity in these digital assessments remains a challenge. This paper presents ExamSecure, a cutting-edge proctoring system that combines blockchain technology, AI-driven monitoring, and image captioning to provide a robust solution. The system leverages blockchain for secure storage of final scores, suspected user records, and face authentication signatures, ensuring tamper-proof data. AI models, such as the BLIP image captioning model, enable real-time detection of the exam environment and user behavior, adding an additional layer of security. Key functionalities include detecting multiple users, flagging absenteeism, and monitoring suspicious activities. By integrating Solidity-based smart contracts with tools like Ganache and Local Ethereum, the system ensures transparent and immutable examination data. This paper delves into the system’s architecture, features, and potential to transform online assessments while upholding the highest standards of integrity.
