Mathematics is often perceived as abstract, symbolic, and distant from tangible experience. Hitherto, when viewed through the lens of doing, discovering, and reflecting, it has become a powerful tool for nurturing reasoning, creativity, and problem-solving. This chapter deals with the novel philosophy and application of Discrete Mathematics. The authors focus with the conviction that learners understand mathematical concepts more precise when they engage with them through action, experimentation, and application. The importance of Discrete Mathematics and Mathematics is defined as “Like the crest of a peacock, like the gem on the head of a snake, so is Mathematics at the head of all knowledge.” The chapter concludes with various applications of Discrete Mathematics in Science, Technology, Mathematics and real life.
