Design Process

The development of a new aircraft/UAV model is contingent upon the formulation of a conceptual framework. In this context, the term “aircraft concept” is defined as a set of data that determines the external forms and internal design of the UAV [1, 2]. However, the development of a promising UAV concept is not an isolated process. The employment of drones in simulating various scenarios within challenging UAV operational environments facilitates an assessment of the aircraft’s capabilities in accomplishing designated tasks [3, 4]. These models utilize the structural, mass-inertial, and aerodynamic performance of the drone, data about its control system, and the environmental conditions in which the flight is conducted. Conventionally, the design of aircraft and UAVs is initiated with the formulation of a mission requirements package.
