摘要

As one of the world’s largest producers and traders of agricultural products, China occupies a significant position in the global agri-food supply chain. Therefore, China’s measures in transforming its agri-food system will have profound implications for global agriculture and the food industry, as well as for global climate change mitigation, exerting a demonstrative effect in the global transition toward sustainable agri-food systems. At the international level, the transformation of the agri-food system contributes to promoting global food security, mitigating climate change, fostering sustainable agriculture and fair trade, improving nutritional structures, and enhancing resource efficiency, thereby advancing the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the domestic level, such transformation helps optimize the agricultural structure, ensure food and nutrition security, promote green and low-carbon development, and enhance the quality and competitiveness of agricultural products. It also contributes to achieving a moderately prosperous society in all respects, laying the foundation for building a high-quality and sustainable modern agricultural system, and advancing the process of Chinese modernization.
