Traditional Korean (Joseon) Meditation and Taoism
摘要
Traditional Korean (Joseon) meditation refers to Korean meditation practices that are said to have originated in the Dangun period (~2333 BC), the Gojoseon period (2333–108 BC), or even earlier. This term is limited to those methods derived in Korea outside foreign religions such as Confucianism and Buddhism. On the other hand, Taoist meditation refers to the methods of meditation practiced in Taoism, which combines Chinese folk beliefs and Taoist ideas of Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu.
