A Multi-level Adaptive Dynamical System Model of Epigenetic Dysregulation and Self-Regulatory Failure in the Development of Suicide Behavior Disorder
摘要
This paper introduces a fifth-order adaptive self-modeling network to describe the role of epigenetic dysregulation and self-regulatory failure in the development of Suicide Behavior Disorder (SBD). The model represents the interplay between neurobiological, psychological, and epigenetic processes over time. These hierarchical adaptivity processes were simulated using self-modeling network modelling principle. Inspired by known biological and psychological mechanisms involved in suicidality, the model captures how early life adversity may lead to persistent changes across multiple adaptivity levels. Additionally, the potential therapeutic impact of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) on reversing maladaptive dynamics is explored and computationally analyzed.
