The Combination of Food Factors and Exercise Induces Beige Adipocyte Formation: Possible Amplification of Preventive Effects Against Obesity
摘要
Regular exercise has positive effects on various health outcomes, including the prevention of obesity. Several recent reports have suggested that combining exercise and food factors can amplify beneficial health effects. This chapter focuses on the synergistic induction of beige adipocyte formation via combination with food and exercise, which may explain the mechanisms of obesity prevention and suppression, including new findings on lactate. Finally, we summarize the following challenges and perspectives in the study of the combination of food factors and exercise: clarifying the appropriate types and intensities of exercise and appropriate intake of food factors for obtaining the optimal combined effect and accumulating results from human interventional studies. We should focus more on exercise-replacement and exercise-complementing food factors in our research.
